Congratulations!

We congratulate the lighting designers from blieske architects lighting designers on receiving the German Lighting Design Award 2024 and the “Lighting Designer of the Year” award!

In the “International Project” category, their lighting concept for the National Historical Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek was honoured with the German Lighting Design Award. The new lighting installation sets the scene for exhibits that the nomadic life on the Silk Road and thus illustrate the national culture and history of the country. It includes recessed luminaires and track spotlights from the mawa wittenberg 4.0 and seventies series.

The exhibition centre, which reopened in November 2021, is one of the most important museums in Central Asia. Architecturally, it builds a bridge between Soviet heritage and the Kyrgyz present.
